The Three Lions to Begin Euro 2028 Journey at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium
The English squad will initiate their UEFA Euro 2028 adventure at the the home of Manchester City, provided that they attain the relatively straightforward entry for a competition staged throughout most of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

The national stadium will host the two semi-final matches and the final, which will be played on Sunday 9 July with a kick-off time at late afternoon.
It is hoped that an earlier start, which will also be used for Champions League finals from the upcoming season, will appeal to households and help engage a wider spectrum of fans.
Qualifying Teams
The Ireland are scheduled to play their opening match at the Dublin stadium and Scotland would do the same at Hampden Park.
The national sides of all four hosts will participate in the preliminary stage; two reserved places will be held in reserve for any that fail to qualify for the finals through the qualification path.
Locations and Knockout Stage
Aston Villa’s stadium and Spurs’ ground complete the event’s nine venues. Each one will hold at least one knockout match, with the quarter-finals held at every host’s main arena.
The draw for the qualifiers will be conducted in Belfast, which was dropped as a venue city last year when it emerged Casement Park could not be redeveloped in time, on December 6, 2026.
