Former Doctor Accused of Assault Allegations Against 38 Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors have stated that a ex- physician has been charged with performing sexual assaults involving 38 individuals who were patients.
Details of the Grave Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous sexual offences – including acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief prosecutor said, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
These allegations come after what investigators called a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

The charging documents said the forty-five sexual offences he is charged with:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
