Loyal followers of Ariana Grande are calling for that a person who breached a barricade and touched the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared footage depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing media personnel and lunging at Grande while the actors made its way down a yellow carpet flanked by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the event by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "released after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was set to be present on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed features videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last December.

"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is clearly a legal violation," stated an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Grande's Well-being

Numerous fans criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said another message on Instagram.

A number of supporters also faulted guards at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals requested social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande looked shocked when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Hundreds of Singapore fans had queued up to meet the performers of Wicked

Many of fans had gathered in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore venue, including several who had waited for as long as eight hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the second of a two-part interpretation of the well-known stage show Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely relationship between two contrasting witches.

The musical itself is a derivative of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a rosé glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and scored ten award recognitions, earning two for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
